new labels on packaging

In light of the new packaging deposit and refund system (SDR), launching in April 2026, we have created a new line of labels with a distinctive look for packaging with a net volume of less than 3 liters, designed to help you better understand and participate in the process.
The 0.33L, 0.50L, and 1.5L labels now feature a prominent yellow top bar with the phrase "this package goes and comes back," reinforcing the dual meaning of packaging that is part of a more sustainable circular system, as well as an economic system that returns the deposit value to the consumer.
What are the deposit and refund amounts?
You pay a 10 cent deposit when purchasing,
and get the amount back upon return.
What packaging is included?
Only the 0.33L e, 0.50L e, and 1.5L containers
are included in the system.
What if the packaging is not accepted?
If the packaging is not accepted,
place it in the yellow recycling bin.
Where can I return the packaging?
There are 2,500 automated collection machines and 48 kiosks
in urban areas across 36 municipalities.
How should I return the packaging?
1- Deposit with the cap on;
2- No liquids; 3
- Do not crush the packaging;
4- With the label, barcode, and "Volta" symbol intact.

In our waters, the caps have become a kind of “umbilical cord”, seeking to create products with the least possible impact on the planet.
From March 2024, in accordance with the Waste Law, all caps on our bottles or packaging of up to 3 liters must be attached to the rest of the container.
Our water
Originating from a deep aquifer, Natural Mineral Waters are unpolluted aqueous systems whose chemical composition is of natural origin and comes exclusively from water/rock interaction phenomena.
For this reason, this chemical composition is specific, with no two waters being the same, and it defines its own chemical pattern that is unchanging over time.
Legislation
The industrial exploitation of Natural Mineral Water is duly regulated by Portuguese legislation and is subject to authorization from the Directorate General of Energy and Geology.
It also requires a favorable opinion from the Directorate General of Health, provided that it has been demonstrated that the hydromineral resource meets all the requirements set out in the definition of Mineral Water established by the European Community.
